• The Fusion Peer Mentoring Program at Joplin High School plays a vital role in supporting our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework by fostering strong, positive relationships between upperclassmen and younger students.
• Fusion members serve as role models and mentors, promoting the PBIS principles of Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness. Through leadership, mentorship, and peer connection, they help create a welcoming and supportive environment where every student can feel valued and included.
• Fusion mentors lead by example—demonstrating how to navigate challenges, make positive choices, and contribute to the overall success of our school community. They also facilitate group activities, discussions, and peer support opportunities that reinforce positive behavior and encourage student engagement.
• By promoting accountability, kindness, and encouragement, Fusion helps cultivate a school culture where students are empowered to grow both academically and personally.
