• JHS Studen Council holds membership with Missouri Association of Student Councils. MASC’s mission is to provide programs and resources that develop positive student leaders and advisors who will promote a quality school and community environment. We believe it is important for a student council to promote a positive learning environment and build a school culture where students and staff are comfortable. MASC works to instill the core values of our organization into our schools and their members: Inspire Greatness. Serve Others. Be More. Lead.
• STUCO members host activities at JHS such as ClubFest, Senior Sunrise, Spirit Weeks, Fall Homecoming Week (parade, pep assembly, and dance), Halloween Bash, Christmas of Hope, appreciation days, MASC district/state events, Winter Homecoming week (pep assembly and dance), assisting with district wide events at middle schools and elementary schools, Spring Blood Drive, and Senior Bash. Members in the StuCo Leadership class meet daily. Other members meet throughout the school year as a whole group and/or in smaller groups as needed.
