  • A+ Schools Program is a school improvement program that gives students the opportunity to tutor/mentor students in the Joplin School District.  Students must complete 50 hours of tutoring, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA; maintain 95% attendance record overall for grades 9-12; score proficient or advanced on the Algebra EOC exam or a higher level DESE approved exam; have no drug, alcohol or fighting violations; and attend designated A+ School for three consecutive years prior to graduation.  Upon graduation students are eligible to receive tuition assistance for tuition and fees payment to attend any public community college or technical school in the state of Missouri.  A+ sponsors many activities through out the year for all students to participate.
