• Meet as a large group at the beginning of the year and for various activities and trips throughout the school year.
• Peer Buddies will pair general education students with students with special needs to foster positive, supportive relationships that extend past the classroom.
• Interested students must go through an application and interview process in the Spring for the following year.
• Attend one high school sporting event together (one per semester), and participate in various social activities within the school environment throughout the the school year, such as eating lunch with the peer buddy, classroom parties, etc.
• Attend Special Olympics, both in the fall and spring
• Buddies must have passing grades along with positive behavior.
• $15 dues to support the program and pay for a t-shirt.
