FINE ARTS
One unit of credit in fine arts is required for graduation from the Joplin School District.
Art Department
The Art Department consists of four instructors. Classes offered include Art Portfolio, Art Survey, Digital Photography, Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Fibers, Printmaking, and Digital Art. For the college-bound student, we offer a dual credit class in Art Appreciation.

DRAMA, DEBATE and TV PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
The
Drama, Debate and TV Production Department consists of three
instructors and encompasses classes other than just Drama. We offer
Drama I thru IV, Beginning and Contest Debate, Contest Speech, Oral
Communications I and II, Public Speaking, Sports Broadcasting, and TV
Productions I thru III.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Our
Music Department consists of four instructors. Course offerings are
Band, Choir, Fundamentals of Music, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Piano, Stage
Band, Treble Choir, and Varsity Chorale. For the college-bound student, Theory of Music is offered as an Advanced Placement class and Music
Experience is offered as a dual credit class.
